An English Country Sensibility
Briarwood Cottage sits at the edge of the ONX Estate Vineyard, shaded by Grace, a coastal oak that has been growing on this hillside for more than 200 years, offering shade, beauty, and a peaceful place to pause and take in the vineyard surroundings. The cottage was designed with an English country sensibility: warm interiors, a beautiful backyard patio with a fire table, and comfortable seating that feels a world away from the highway ten minutes east.
The cottage itself has four ensuite bedrooms, each with a queen bed, a powder room, a Chef’s Kitchen, a dining area that seats the whole group, and a living room with a charming fireplace. It works well for families, groups of friends, or a couple who wants the run of the place. The Chef’s Kitchen is fully stocked with a gas range, a butler’s pantry, and enough counter space to put together a real dinner with local ingredients.
A Private One-Bedroom of Its Own
The Briarwood Apartment is a private one-bedroom unit with its own entrance and balcony. It sleeps two in a queen bed and has its own kitchen with a gas range, a wine fridge, and a washer and dryer. The apartment is a natural fit for a couple traveling with a larger group who wants their own space at the end of the day, or for a pair looking for a smaller, more affordable vineyard stay.
Quiet Mornings on the Hillside
Both the cottage and apartment open onto the same stretch of vineyard and oak-studded hillside. Mornings here are quiet. The fog comes in through the Templeton Gap and hangs over the rows of Grenache and Syrah until mid-morning, when the sun breaks through and the vines light up. The property’s farm animals graze nearby, and the only real noise is birdsong and the occasional tractor in the distance.
Every Briarwood stay includes a complimentary off-road vineyard tour and tasting at the ONX Estate Vineyard in Templeton, welcome wine and pastries, and access to our Vineyard Stays & Experience Team for trip planning. The tasting room in Tin City is a 15-minute drive, and downtown Paso Robles is about 10 minutes east.

ONX Estate Vineyard Tour in Templeton | $45 per person (complimentary with your stay). An off-road ride through the estate blocks in a side-by-side vehicle. Taste wine where the grapes grow, and learn the story behind each vineyard section from your host.
Vineyard Hideaway Picnic | $65 per person / $50 per member. A private picnic set up among the vines, with food, games, and a self-guided tasting kit. A favorite for anniversaries, birthdays, or a slow first evening on the estate. Available Thursday through Sunday.
