Reckoning

Violet perfumes spring from the glass, penetrating through a thicker layer of savory blackened steak and charred notes of cedar and scorched earth. Sweeter notes of blackberry cobbler, olallieberry jam, and hot summer rain provide a much needed respite from notes of gunpowder, maple sap, and cinnamon spice. The wine hits the palate with a weighty density filling with notes of fresh blueberry, goji berry, and sharp graphite. Tannins are supple but long and linear, filled with syrupy notes of anise and elderberry that carry through a lingering finish.
