Noble Intrigue

A thick veil of tension and inky density casts a shadow over the wine’s profile, but as it slowly opens up you are able to peer behind the curtain for a rich complexity. Fresh black pepper, sea smoke, fresh leather, and smooshed blackberries make up the dark overture with sweet white pepper, dry fig and tobacco, intermingling with a granite stoniness for a bouquet of expressive and somehow textured aromatics. Both nose and pallet feature a fine mix of decadent and pure fruits ranging from black to blue to red along with perfumed earth tones. The entry is playful and tactile with juicy and sharp cranberry and strawberry layered with shots of graphite and lead. Sticky anise and molasses carry through the palate with a blueberry compote along with a moderately built yet silky structure that finishes long, rife with iron and blood.
